It is only too well known how difficult it is to attend school in many áreas of Pakistan. Students and teachers, especially girls and women, live under the threat of attacks by the Talibans. We have known many cases and have published some of them on this website. The latest victim of this violence has been Aitizaz Hasan. This teenager from Hangu (a district in the province of Khyber) lost his life while trying to prevent a Taliban from attacking the school he attended. His death prevented a tragedy from happening. The case of Malala Yousafzai is also well known, but unfortunately it isn’t the only one. In this wedsite we reported on the case of the teacher Shahnaz Nazli, who was killed in March 2013 when she was going to the school where she worked. The conditions in the Hushe valley are not so extreme, but we have to continue working with determination to offer an adequate education to the children of the valley They deserve it.
