AKU-PDCN will financially help the schools in the Hushe valley in the new school year, and the Munawar school will be one of the beneficiaries of this aid. The Munawar School and the Baltistan Foundation have an agreement with PDCN (Professional Development Center) so that this institution, which belongs to AKU (Aga Khan University), trains our teachers. In addition, PDCN provides financial help and material to a number of schools which they have commitments with. We have been told that for the school year 2014 it has committed to training teachers, assuming the cost of 3,685.67 euros for the staff of Munawar School, and another 11,057.02 euros for three other schools in the valley. Likewise it has donated 294.85 euros to the Munawar school and 74 chairs of good quality that will be an important help given the increase in enrollment. The chairs are worth 1363.70 euros.
